Bigfoot Interactive Gets $20 Million in Financing

E-mail direct marketer Bigfoot
Interactive
rounded up $20 million in its first round of outside
financing, from its parent company and outside investors.

The financing shows the continued investor interest in the hot e-mail
marketing sector. Investors in this round, other than Bigfoot
International, include Investcorp,
Stephens Inc., Constellation Ventures, Acorn Funds, Winfield Capital and CIT Group, as well as Bigfoot’s business
partner, Acxiom Corp..

Bigfoot concentrates on helping companies retain their customers, rather
than on customer acquisition.

“The spectacular growth our company has experienced indicates the proven
success email marketing is having as a powerful tool for marketers,” says
James Hoffman, chief executive officer of Bigfoot Interactive.

“Our unique ability to provide our clients with programs designed to
improve customer brand loyalty and maximize return on investment through
highly strategic targeted email dialogues is positively reinforced by these
investments. The capital we have raised will help us to continue to build
our leadership position in the retention e-marketing space.”
