Online restaurant-ordering service cybermeals.com signed an agreement with
St. Paul, MN-based Future Pages, a provider of custom collegiate marketing and
advertising campaigns.
Cybermeals.com will use the Future Pages Network of more than 2,000
colleges and universities to implement an advertising campaign in college
print newspapers, coupled with an online co-branded restaurant and dining
guide.
The campaign will initially be launched at 10 colleges that have been selected
by Future Pages as specific targets and will ultimately embrace the entire
college network. Spending was not disclosed.
Future Pages will co-brand cybermeals.com service into college newspaper sites
and make it available at Collegestudent.com. The individual interaction at
college sites will enable cybermeals.com to create a customized guide and
service for each college’s locale. Cybermeals.com will further be able to
penetrate into the individual college markets by taking advantage of campus
advertising and marketing, through radio advertising, on-campus posters,
flyers and sponsorship of campus events.
“Cybermeals.com has chosen to work with Future Pages
because of their expertise in effectively implementing marketing programs
targeted at the college community,” said Katie Vogelheim, senior vice president of marketing and sales at
cybermeals.com.
The campaign is part of a significant marketing effort by cybermeals.com,
which includes its first branding initiative and specific targeting for the
company’s service. An important part of this targeting is realizing the
potential of the early adaptive 18-24 year old market, the company said.
Other Future Pages advertisers include Sprint, Microsoft, Apple Computer, MADD
and GTE.
