San Francisco-based Electric Classifieds Inc. said it now offers
what it called “the most complete solution in the industry for the $6 billion
employment advertising category.”
The centerpiece of the new ECI solution is a product module that matches
resumes with job listings.
The job match product enables job seekers and employers to use sophisticated
techniques to search the job bank database for prioritized listings of the
best job opportunities and candidates respectively, based on matching resume
skills and qualifications to job description criteria.
ECI said its employment solution can be privately branded and customized to a
publisher’s Web operations. It incorporates advanced parsing technology to
migrate print ads to the Web and can extract and create individual online ads
from multiple job listing print display ads. Pricing was not disclosed.
“You need more than just employment ads extracted from the newspaper to be
successful in the online environment,” says Steve Buck, ECI’s vice president
of business development. “There are huge revenue opportunities in turning a
Web site into a primary marketplace for employers and job seekers.”
In January, the company introduced a complete vertical for the $3.3 billion
automotive category and in early February introduced a display advertising
solution.
