Engage Technologies said that its
Engage.Knowledge database of anonymous Web visitor behavior profiles has reached a milestone of 12 million profiles.
Last week, Engage became fully operational in the acquisition of profiles from Lycos users, moving the number of Engage-
enabled contributing sites to more than 60 and enabling the Engage.Knowledge
database of user profiles to grow even faster.
Paul Schaut, CEO of Engage said: “During peak periods we’ve been adding 600
users per minute, the equivalent of 36,000 per hour. Such enormous growth
demonstrates the ‘industrial strength’ performance of Engage.Knowledge and
validates the unique, real-time/Web-wide scalability of the system. We expect
to reach 25 million active user profiles in the next 90 days, giving us
anonymous profiles on nearly half the U.S. Web audience.”
Engage has also moved into a site test with GeoCities, and other customers in the
pilot program are expected to be announced in the next few weeks. Engage
enables customers to access Engage.Knowledge visitor profiles in real time,
increasing the relevance of their Web site’s advertising, editorial and
commercial content for both first-time and repeat visitors.
Last week Engage launched the beta of an Engage-enabled Accipiter AdManager product line,
offering ad serving and targeting. The combination provides a single
integrated solution for matching and serving ads based on visitor profiles.
Engage, which recently acquired Accipiter, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CMG Information Services in Andover, MA.
