Epinions.com Partners With WiseAds New Media

E-commerce ad network WiseAds New Media Inc. said that shopping
guide site Epinions.com signed on as a network
partner.

“Epinions.com is the leading online shopping guide which helps consumers make
better buying decisions,” said Evan Stein, president and co-founder of
WiseAds.

“Our ability to create an enhanced revenue stream for Epinions, and
deliver some of the most savvy purchase-oriented consumers on the Internet to
our advertisers, makes this a terrific partnership.”

WiseAds New Media said it now has commitments from about 15 e-commerce and
shopping Web sites to serve as their exclusive advertising sales force.

Naval Ravikant, co-founder and CEO of Epinions.com, said WiseAds was selected
to handle online advertising because “WiseAds is uniquely qualified to match
advertisers with e-commerce sites like Epinions which provide very targeted
solutions.”

Founded in April, Epinions.com helps consumers make better buying decisions.
The site aggregates, rates, and sorts consumer and professional reviews, and
offers links to Web shopping resources.

The focus is to build a
self-governing community of reviewers and shoppers who create and rate all
site content. The company does not sell anything and does not edit its
consumer content.
