ePod Signs Distribution Deal With DoubleClick

Jun 15, 2000

ePod Corp., which offers a platform for
converging online advertising and commerce, Thursday struck a marketing deal
with advertising solutions provider DoubleClick Inc..

As part of the agreement,
DoubleClick will offer the ePod
showcase through its network. The ePod showcase is a transactional unit that
contains an
advertiser’s branded message and
targeted products. The product’s patent-pending technology is designed to
let customers browse, shop, sign-up for newsletters and view rich media
without leaving the publisher’s page.

Further, DoubleClick will promote the product to sites
within its network and resell ePod products to its sponsors.

This agreement gives advertisers a way to differentiate their online
marketing campaigns by using the
transactional ePod showcase as a sponsorship vehicle on DoubleClick’s
Network of sites, said Beth-Ann Eason, DoubleClick vice president.

“The product has the ability to bundle interactive content and
commerce into a single, easy package, which adds a valuable, rich
sponsorship tool to our
online advertising solutions,” she said.
