Harte-Hanks, net.Genesis Team Up On E-Marketing

Harte-Hanks Inc., a
provider of customer relationship management solutions and direct marketing
services, will integrate its products with those of e-business solutions
provider net.Genesis Corp.

The companies will integrate net.Genesis’ net.Analysis software with
Harte-Hanks enterprise-wide products and will cooperate in sales and
marketing efforts.

The collaboration extends the relationship developed when Harte-Hanks
participated in the $22 million round of mezzanine funding announced by net.Genesis on June 21, which also included participation
by Bank America, Hambrecht & Quist, Robertson Stephens and Goldman Sachs.

net.Analysis and Design for Analysis methodology enables companies to analyze
site visitor navigation paths, click streams, download responses, domain of
origin, and other detailed behavioral metrics, then interpret the information
to provide marketing data.

Used in concert with Harte-Hanks Allink Agent and
Harte-Hanks customer-centric
databases and data mining products, the joint solution can be used for direct
mail, telemarketing and other direct responses.

As part of the agreement, Harte-Hanks also will resell the net.Analysis
software, applications and services through its extensive sales force in
North America and the United Kingdom, and will provide training on
net.Genesis’ Design for Analysis methodology.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

Separately, the Sun-Netscape Alliance formed a
strategic relationship with net.Genesis to help maximize the effectiveness of
Alliance customers’ online sales channels.

The Alliance plans to enable
Netscape SellerXpert to interoperate with net.Genesis’s netAnalysis app.
