A group of Internet marketing and promotion executives
have formed the
Internet Direct Marketing Bureau, a trade organization established to address
such issues as e-mail advertising and on-line privacy, according to the New York Times.
Paul Grand, chief executive at Word of Net Promotions in Sherman Oaks,
CA, is heading a steering committee for the association, which will hold its
first meeting on Nov. 11 in Scottsdale, AZ. The new group plans to elect a
chairman, president and vice president and eventually hire an executive
director.
