Intuit Launches Sweeps Promo for Quicken.com

Intuit’s Small Business by Quicken.com, a new site for operators of small businesses, along with sponsor Computer Discount Warehouse, launched a sweepstakes for small businesses on Excite.


Sweepstakes registrants can qualify to win the grand prize of an “Ultimate Office” or one of 21 daily QuickBooks 6.0 prizes.


The grand prize, donated by CDW, includes: a Compaq Proliant 1600–a high performance workgroup server/workstation; Compaq v55 15-inch monitor; HP LaserJet 3100; Palm Pilot Professional; QuickBooks Pro 6.0; Microsoft BackOffice Small Server; and two one-day courses on desktop application training.


Users can access the sweepstakes through the “Win an Office” links on the Quicken small business site or on Excite and WebCrawler.


Small Business by Quicken.com is a new channel designed to offer small businesses their own customized start page, personalized small business news and information, time-saving business tools and services such as the Quicken Business CashFinder Web service, user-to user bulletin boards, and direct access to a variety of small business experts, all free of charge.


The promotion runs through Aug. 11. Spending was not disclosed.
