LuckySurf.com is looking to increase its U.K. presence through a partnership with London-based WebRewards, announced by the firms on Friday.

WebRewards, the U.K. subsidiary of Munich-based webmiles AG, offers users redeemable points for shopping at affiliated e-tailers, while LuckySurf gives sweepstakes entries for clicking on banner ads.

According to terms of the agreement, users visiting the WebRewards site will be able to enter LuckySurf’s daily US$1 million lottery. In addition, members will be able to win WebRewards for matching three or more numbers in the LuckySurf drawing. Additionally, during January every entry will be rewarded with 10 WebRewards to boost awareness for the program.

“This deal is good news for our members and our partners. We know our members are keen to collect WebRewards; giving them the daily chance to win $1 million as well as WebRewards is a great addition to our offer,” said WebRewards joint managing director Mark Read. “Our partners will gain because the more ways there are to earn WebRewards, the more value they get from working with us.”

Friday’s deal works similarly to the South San Francisco, Calif.-based marketer’s recent partnerships with portals/search engine AltaVista Europe and U.K. portal/ISP LineOne, both of which host regionalized versions of LuckySurf’s sweepstakes.

“We are aggressively pursuing the U.K. market where online gaming has been exploding, and our partnership with WebRewards perfectly fits in our global marketing strategy,” said LuckySurf.com co-founder Pierre Achach. “WebRewards’ understanding of the U.K. market combined with our solid marketing offering will help us better serve our users on a global scale.”

LuckySurf also has a presence in the Asia-Pacific region, LuckySurfAsia.com, which it launched in December with help from undisclosed investors.
