Marketplace for Marketers Debuts

Aug 7, 2000

U.S Marketer.com announced Monday that it
has launched a site which aims to become a one-stop shop for
people seeking to buy or sell marketing-related services or products.

“We offer an efficient, cost-effective solution to the universal challenge
facing every marketer: finding the right supplier, at the right time, at the
right price,” said Martin Williams, founder and chief executive officer of
U.S.
Marketer.com.

The new online marketplace uses a “Request for Proposal” process to help
users find the service providers for their marketing projects. According to
U.S Marketer.com, marketers describe their projects using a feature that
gathers details specific to the service they wish to utilize. Each project
is then compared against the profiles of U.S. Marketer.com’s registered
providers to see which providers best match the project’s specifications.

Specification include: expertise, industry specialty, budget, location and
availability. Qualified providers then submit a proposal to the marketer in
an effort to win the business.
