Mimeo.com, a company that prints and
binds documents that businesses send in over the Internet, on Friday chose
the Martin Agency as its first
agency of record.
The start-up cited the Martin Agency’s branding work as its reason for
choosing the agency. The first collaboration, which will involve several
media, is expected to appear in the spring.
Mimeo.com is targeting businesses with its service, stressing the ease and
convenience of having business documents printed without having to leave
your desk. It will likely compete with Kinko’s, which has been successful
providing printing services for small businesses.
“Mimeo.com is the next logical step in our digital and time starved
economy,” says John Adams, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer at The
Martin Agency. “This will be an exciting concept to launch.”
The start-up is likely to have plenty of dough to promote itself, too.
Mimeo.com’s backers include Hewlett-Packard
and Draper Fisher Jurvetson/Draper Fisher Jurvetson Gotham.
