The Mining Co. Internet Guide network and
online travel booking service Lowestfare.com are teaming up to
promote their travel-related services and information to business and leisure
travelers.

Lowestfare.com becomes the exclusive airline booking service and content
partner for the entire MiningCo.com network.

The agreement between the two companies includes Lowestfare.com’s sponsorship
of The Mining Co.’s travel section, prominent placement for Lowestfare.com
within the Mining Co. Marketplace section and the development of cross-
promotional initiatives both online and off. Financial arrangements were not
disclosed.

Promotions will include sweepstakes and cross-linking of content, the
companies said.

“Partnering with MiningCo.com allows us to reach a targeted and highly
motivated audience that’s actively seeking guidance to the best travel deals
and information,” said Gail Golden, CEO of Las Vegas-based Lowestfare.com. “We
see great potential for extending the value of our sponsorship by working in
concert with MiningCo.com to develop innovative cross-promotional programs
that will drive greater awareness and traffic for both sites. It’s a perfect
fit. . . ”

“We already know from a recent outside survey that a greater percentage of
Mining Co. users buy airline tickets online than do users of any other major
navigation site, so we’re excited about augmenting our travel Guides’ insights
and recommendations by offering our visitors direct, convenient access to the
great deals offered by Lowestfare.com,” said New York City-based Mining Co.
founder and CEO Scott Kurnit.

More than 40 of the 500 GuideSites that make up The Mining Co. network are
devoted to travel topics, including Air Travel, Europe for Visitors, Bed and Breakfasts and Travel with Kids.
