San Mateo, CA-based NetGravity signed a partner deal with
Minneapolis, MN-based Net Perceptions to integrate
NetGravity’s AdServer solution and the Net Perceptions for Ad Targeting
solution.

The Net Perceptions’ personalization solution integrated with AdServer will
offer
infrastructure for the ad management process including inventory management,
dynamic targeting and ad performance report generation. Joint customers will
be able to target advertisements and marketing offers based on a user’s
online behavior.

The Net Perceptions software, which learns both about each visitor’s
individual interests and tastes and click patterns across the entire user
base, is based on technology from Neural Application Corp. Financial terms of
the agreement were not disclosed.

“The integration of NetGravity and Net Perceptions increases the value of
both solutions for joint customers,” said Steve Larsen, Net Perceptions’ vice
president of marketing and business development. “Partnering with an industry
leader like NetGravity enables us to provide customers with the technology
and expertise to generate stronger revenues through more highly targeted
campaigns.”

“As sites compete for advertising dollars, Web publishers need proven
solutions to help them get the most out of their inventory,” said Rick
Jackson, vice president of marketing and business development at NetGravity,
“Net Perceptions is focused on helping Web publishers maximize their
advertising and e-commerce revenues.”

The joint solution will have the ability to track and target based on six
unique user and
environmental factors including: user click behavior, date, page, reach
and frequency, user navigation behavior, and user key word entries.
