Seattle-based agency Avenue A expanded its relationship with Soma.com and will launch a campaign promoting
the online pharmacy through a series of strategic media buys and data
collection and analysis.
Soma has increased its spending with Avenue A substantially, citing
analytical information gained from its relationship with the agency as a
major motivator. Billings were not disclosed.
“Building a business on the Internet requires in-depth knowledge of where your potential
customers exist,” said Mike Hartmann, vice president of marketing for Soma.com. “Avenue A has both the knowledge and resources to help us
build that clientele through an effective online outreach. Avenue A also has
the unique capability of bringing both online media buying service and
factual analytical data together. Their reporting shows us in a clear way
what works, what doesn’t and how to improve it.”
Avenue A said it has expanded recently to meet the growing needs of its
clients, making several new hires, doubling capacity of Avenue A’s
proprietary ad scheduling system, and taking space in New York. Avenue A is
also near completion on a Data Center for the New York office, which will
house the components of its proprietary ad serving and data
collection/analysis technology.
