Chicago-based SRDS said that Internet versions of its Business Publication
Advertising Source and Consumer Magazine Advertising Source will be available
to media planners starting this month.
Both publications–in print and online–are primary research tools for
information that helps marketers and advertising agencies plan, develop and
buy print advertising.
The Web site operation will offer continuous updates to the business and
consumer databases; search capabilities to locate relevant publications from
more than 13,000 listings; links to additional information from publication
Web sites and audit statements; and immediate communication with publications
via e-mail.
The Business Publication Advertising Source contains over 9,600 listings for
domestic business, international business, and healthcare publications,
arranged into 185 market classifications. The Consumer Magazine Advertising
Source includes more than 3,200 listings for domestic consumer, international
consumer, farm magazines and card decks, arranged into 76 market
classifications.
The online versions are integral parts of subscriptions to their companion
print directories.
An annual subscription to either the Business Publication Advertising Source
($608) or the Consumer Magazine Advertising Source ($587) includes one PIN
code for 24 hour, seven-day a week online access and 12 monthly print issues.
Subscribers can access the online version at www.srds.com.
Current advertisers in the print editions of Business Publication Advertising
Source and Consumer Magazine Advertising Source will get online advertising
positions with comparable presence to their print buy at no additional
charge, the company said.
