Game site operator Total Entertainment Network named Phase Two Strategies of San
Francisco and New York as its public relations agency of record and Butler,
Shine & Stern
of Sausalito, CA as its AOR for advertising.

Both agencies will work closely with TEN’s internal marketing and sales
groups, TEN said. Billings were not disclosed.

“These two leading agencies are renowned for their work in building brand
relationships with consumers and the business community,” said Lesley
Mansford, vice president of marketing for TEN. “Their immediate task will be
to raise brand awareness and drive consumer traffic to TEN’s games on our
partner sites.”

Since launching its “Family Games” service one year ago, TEN has amassed 3
million registered users by making its games available through a distribution
network that includes Excite, Netscape, GO and Sony Station, among others.
Founded in 1988, Phase Two Strategies clients include American Century
Investments, Logitech, Greenfield Online, Baan USA, TIBCO and Polycom.
Founded in 1993, Butler, Shine & Stern focuses on creating, developing and
rejuvenating brands. Clients include 989 Studios (the leading developer of
Playstation software), Egreetings, Jamba Juice, Millers Outpost, R.A.B.
