GoTo.com, Inc., the three-month-old Internet search
service based in Pasadena, CA, reportedly
is conducting its first agency review, with between 10 and 13 firms being
considered.
Adweek said the company intends to name a
finalist next month. The size of the account and timing of the work the has
not been determined, according to Stephanie Sarka, senior vice president of
marketing at goTo.
All of the agencies in the review for the review are considered “traditional
agencies,” she told Adweek. The online media will continue to be developed in-
house, she said. GoTo
launched in June with an ad tagline “Search made simple.” Offline advertising
to date has largely been radio.
