Web development and e-commerce firm Vantage One Communications Group in
Cleveland has purchased the interactive group of Dallas-based Meyer & Johnson for an undisclosed
sum.

Vantage One specializes in Web site development, Internet commerce, CD-ROM
development, digital strategic marketing and graphic design.

“The purchase was attractive because of Meyer & Johnson’s top
notch Fortune 500 clients and because of the quality of its staff,” said Tim Mueller, Vantage One co-founder. “We’re
committed to keeping the existing staff and adding our strengths in emerging
technologies and electronic commerce.”

The interactive group of Meyer & Johnson, a full service advertising
Agency, was started in 1995. Clients include: Exxon, Citibank, AMR
Corp./ The SABRE Group, Travelocity, Galderma Laboratories Inc., The
Associates and Zales Jewelers.

Linda Logan, vice president and general manager of Meyer & Johnson’s
interactive group, will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of the
Dallas office, including the sales and account management duties.

The Meyer & Johnson staff members launched and branded Travelocity, the online
travel reservation system.

“We view this deal as more of a merger
of two companies than a buyout,” said Dan Rose, Vantage One co-founder. “The fit was right which made it hard to pass
up. We intend to be very aggressive in our new business efforts in the
southwest, and see Meyer & Johnson as a very positive addition to our growth
strategies.”

Founded in 1990, Vantage One clients include Marriott International, Eaton,
Kelly Services, The Sherwin-Williams Company, the Cleveland Indians, Pinacor,
Ernst & Young LLP and Camelot Music.
