Virtual Technology Corp. Begins Campaign on Sidewalk.com

Virtual Technology Corp., a
technology reseller of computer hardware and software, launched
a marketing campaign targeting MSN Sidewalk’s customer base.


The campaign is aimed at building brand awareness and market share for
www.virtual-world.com within strategically targeted local markets, with long
term plans to add additional cities.


VTC will initially be located in MSN Sidewalk.com’s yellow pages in
Minneapolis, San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange
County, CA. Spending was not disclosed.


MSN Sidewalk is an online guide to local products, services and entertainment,
featuring a Buyer’s Guide, an Entertainment Guide and Yellow Pages.


Virtual Technology has a variety of alliances to drive business to its site,
including a deal with Ingram Micro, which provides access to more than 40,000
products from over 1,000 vendors. The company offers extended warranties and
on-site service for equipment sold via the Web site.
