WebConnect Launches Site Evaluator

Boca Raton, FL-based ad network WebConnect launched the WebConnect Interactive Site Evaluator
(WISE), enabling Web site owners that accept advertising to register
their sites with the ad placement service at no charge.

Site owners answer a series of questions about their site traffic, content,
number of pages, and target demographic. The WebConnect media planners then use the
information, evaluating sites for compatibility with each client’s target audience to
maximize return on investment.

“For the first time, sites that use the service will be able to tell their story to the
people who are actually buying space on their sites,” said Jay Schwedelson, corporate vice president of WebConnect. “WISE has been developed
to discover more sites that accept advertising, learn more about the sites we
already use, and get a greater understanding of the larger sites and the vast
opportunities they represent.”

WebConnect uses an Open Network model, and can place banner ads and buttons on
any site that accepts advertising. “Our loyalty is to our advertisers, not to
the site owners, Schwedelson said. “WISE allows us to further our advertisers’
reach into the sites they need to advertise on and help them increase the
value of their online ad dollar.”

WebConnect’s proprietary ICS tracking software allows customers to monitor all
aspects of their ad campaigns and maximize their return on investment. The
company was created by Worldata, a leading provider of list marketing and database
services.
