Permission e-mail marketing company yesmail.com signed a partner deal with XOOM.com for e-mail marketing.

As a YesMail Network Partner, a portion of XOOM.com’s new membership base
will have the opportunity to join the YesMail Network and receive promotional
messages from merchants targeted specifically to their personal interests.

Financial specifics of the deal were not disclosed.

XOOM.com will offer YesMail as a value-added service to its members, in
addition to all of its other Web services. In return, XOOM.com will share in
the revenue generated by permission e-mail campaigns that are sent to their
members who opt-in to the YesMail Network.

“Partnering with sites like XOOM.com enables us to leverage the marketing
dollars they’ve spent to increase our own traffic, and build additional reach
quickly,” said Dave Tolmie, CEO of yesmail.com. “At the same time, our
partners can earn incremental revenue at no cost to them.”

XOOM.com is a direct e-commerce services company that is slated to be merged
with
several NBC Internet assets and Snap.com Inc. in a new company to be called
NBC Internet (NBCi) that will use Snap.com as its umbrella consumer brand,
integrating broadcast, portal and e-commerce services.

XOOM.com, Inc. offers consumers free services such as homepage building, chat
rooms, message boards, HTML e-mail, online greeting cards, clip art and
downloadable Software, and in turn targets its members with product and service offers.
The company claims 10.2 million members.
