Zapa Digital Arts Creates Add-Ins for Microsoft’s Liquid Motion

Saratoga, CA-based Zapa Digital Arts, a provider of rich media technology for online promotion, advertising and e-commerce, said that Ch@racterz, its new 3D animated technology will work with Microsoft’s Liquid Motion Web animation tool.


Ch@racterz, part of Zapa’s Smart Objects technology, may be added through its
Liquid Ch@racterz plug-in to enhance Liquid Motion scenes.


Zapa also said that its MicroSites product has been further enhanced for use
with Liquid Motion in the creation of online advertising. MicroSites enables
advertisers, marketers, and merchants to create Web banner ads that can be
output in Microsoft’s Direct Animation format.


Ch@racterz are 3D animated figures with embedded behaviors and intelligence.
Ch@racterz can be used as actors in online entertainment, as advertising
spokes characters, such as a dancing cereal box, as a Web site host, or even as
messengers for Internet broadcasting and push technology.

MicroSites will be used as the advertising banner creation technology for
Liquid Motion users, providing all the tools that users need for the creation
of individual banner ads and Web site enhancing animation. This includes rich
animation and sound libraries. MicroSites also offers pre-made templates that
customers can use when creating their own advertisements. Pricing was not
disclosed.
