IBM Launches PureData for Hadoop System

In October 2012, IBM advanced its PureSystems portfolio with new PureData servers. McGee said that the PureData Systems help clients more efficiently manage and quickly analyze petabytes of data in minutes and intelligently use those insights to support specific business goals across their organizations.

“Most recently, new PureSystems models were launched to help remove the complexity of developing cloud-based services by making it easier to provision, deploy and manage a secure cloud environment,” McGee said.

“Those models include a smaller PureApplication System to accelerate cloud deployments for a broader range of organizations and a PureApplication System on POWER7+ to ease management of transaction and analytics applications in the cloud,” McGee continued.

Big Data

IBM is now rolling out a new series of PureSystems with the PureData for Hadoop solution.
