The market for 802.11b-related products increased by more than 20 percent in the second quarter of this year, paced by sales of residential gateways, market research
firm Dell ‘Oro Group said Thursday.
The research firm said that sales of 802.11b products into the home and small businesses currently is outpacing sales of WLANs into the enterprise.

The study found that sales of wireless broadband gateways increased by 191 percent in the second quarter compared to the first quarter and sales of wireless network
interface cards increased 16 percent.
