Adobe Systems boasts two popular applications, Acrobat and Reader, related to its widely-used PDF document format. Acrobat is used for the creation and distribution of PDFs while the free Adobe Reader is used to view PDFs files as well as print them.

Unfortunately, the popularity of Adobe’s software makes it a target of malicious hackers looking to use it as an entrée to user’s computers, passwords and other proprietary information. eSecurityPlanet has the latest on what Adobe’s done to address a number of security vulnerabilities it identified earlier this month.

Adobe Systems this week released another round of updates to its popular Reader and Acrobat applications that it says will lock down a total of 17 security vulnerabilities that put users

Adobe, which warned users of the exploits earlier this month, said the new updates are for Reader 9.3.2 for Windows, Mac and Unix, Acrobat 9.3.2 for Windows and Mac and Reader 8.2.2 and Acrobat 8.2.2. for Windows and Mac.
