Lycos Inc. partnered with American Greetings to offer both electronic and printed greeting cards throughout strategic locations in the Lycos site, including PeopleFind, Lycos E-mail, and other community areas.

Cleveland, OH-based American Greetings offers Lycos users thousands of
electronic greeting cards that can be sent via e-mail–many with sound and
animation. American Greetings will also custom-print cards to send via “snail mail.”

“The American Greetings service belongs naturally in the successful world of
Lycos communities where users communicate electronically every day using chat
and e-mail,” said David Chesnik, director of electronic commerce at Lycos.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
