America Online’s Moms Online (Keyword Moms Online), a parenting community for at-home and working mothers, is partnering with Spree.com to offer online shopping via Spree.com’s Independent Partner Program.
“Partnering with Spree.com lets us save time and money for our community–the 250,000 moms who visit our site every month,” said Rob de Baun, president
of Moms Online.
“We can also put up our customized store quickly without incurring any costs
or risks. We can have our cake and eat it too–give Moms a safe and relevant shopping experience while remaining focused on our mission of building the largest women’s community in the world.”
Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed.
“Spree’s willingness and ability to package specific products particularly
relevant to Moms Online’s loyal visitors, will enable MO to capture a huge
chunk of the rapidly unfolding e-commerce explosion,” said Art Miller of
Monument Interactive, one of Thornton, PA-based Spree.com’s fastest growing
Spree Independent Partners (S-I-P).
Visitors to Moms Online will be able to link to any of Spree.com’s superstores and select from a variety of products. Moms Online will offer gift areas for parents and children including Kids Corner, Home and Garden, Electronics and Gift Baskets. Books, coffee and tea, flowers, and music are some of the products offered.
Spree.com also has partnership agreements with the National Hockey League,
AOL’s Digital Cities, Hecklers Online, and Antagonist and Stockpoint as well as charities like the National Adoption Center and ActionAIDS.
