So much of the buzz around Apple lately has centered on the launch of the new iPad tablet. But wait, the company still sells notebooks, right?

Of course it does, and just in case you’d forgotten, Apple offered a reminder today with a significant upgrade to its MacBook line, boosting both performance speeds and battery life.

Hardware Central takes a look at Apple’s latest turn with its MacBook notebooks.

In case you forgot that Apple makes computers, the company issued a reminder that it is in fact a computer vendor, and a pretty good one judging by the specs of its MacBook Pro notebooks.

The company on Tuesday issued a refresh to its MacBook line, upping the performance ante significantly as well as the battery life. Apple claims improvements of up to 80 percent faster graphics and 10 hours of battery life, both at the same time.

“The new MacBook Pro is as advanced on the inside as it is stunning on the outside,” Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, said in a statement. “With faster processors, amazing graphics and up to three more hours of battery life, the new MacBook Pro delivers both performance and efficiency.”
