B2B Internet solutions provider and ASP Asera Inc. launched the Asera eService, an
outsourced e-commerce solution offered on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The service enables B2B companies “to rapidly activate their Net market site,
build market liquidity and generate sustainable competitive advantage,” the
company said.
“The eService enables corporations of any size to achieve time-to-market
advantages, deploy a complete market model, and quickly extend and adapt
their services to compete in the changing business environment,” said Warren
Weiss, president and chief executive officer of
Asera.
The service includes catalogue and product selection applications, auction
and exchange services, order management features and back-end systems to
streamline order entry, provide order status and speed product delivery.
Marketing and support services can be added to help generate demand and build
customer loyalty, the company said. Price points were not disclosed.
The eService also can include industry forums that allow buyers and sellers
to collaborate, gaining valuable market and product knowledge, as well as
automatic, filtered news feeds and search services. Asera eService also
includes its own Commerce Server, designed so that it can quickly incorporate
innovations in Internet technology.
Initial customers include Ajunto, Applications Gateway, CapSpring.com,
Honeywell and Vertia.com.
