Bizee.com launched a new portal offering business news and information, tools to help conduct and transact business, and a free and open secure communications service to use Virtual Private Network technology.

Using Bizee.com’s portal, which covers 24 industries, businesses can
communicate with their branch offices, partners, vendors, and affiliates
using the advanced encryption standard of 168-bit Triple DES.

Bizee.com’s Global VPN technology extends the use of standard Intranet VPN technology to an intra-company secure environment with minimal user setup and configuration, the company said. Also available are posting of RFPs, encrypted auctions, chat rooms, e-mail
and classifieds.

“With the explosion of the Internet, one important user group has been left
behind — the business user,” said Farid (Frank) N. Ghadry, founder and CEO
of Bizee.com.

“Lack of both strong security tools in the public domain and
business-centric services have limited business use of the Internet to
unsecured e-mail, public Web sites servicing their
consumers, and Intranets serving their employees. Bizee.com will dramatically
improve this situation.”
