Brainware.tv Launches Online Video Rentals

Brainware.tv has announced the licensing of more than 1,000 business training videos in 21 languages for online rental and viewing.

“We have developed sophisticated, Internet software for renting streaming videos,” said Phil Doyle, Brainware.tv Chairman. “We cut the time and physical costs of production and shipping which means lower prices and no waiting for our business customers.”

Brainware.tv also has developed software for Internet syndication.

“We provide a syndicated, logo-branded web page to major chains in the office supply, office equipment, office PC, and book seller industries who are interested in profitable new revenue streams for their eCommerce sites. We leverage the considerable advertising muscle of these major chains and reach millions of business customers,” said Doyle.

The online business training market is expected to nearly double in size every year through 2003, reaching approximately $11.5 billion by that time, according to San Francisco investment banker W.R. Hambrecht & Co.

“Earlier this year, we surveyed roughly 20,000 small businesses to find out what new services they would like. E-learning was the overwhelming favorite,” says Ryan Vero, OfficeMax’s head of E-commerce.

Today, corporations spend approximately $66 billion annually on training their employees. IDC estimates that the Web-delivered portion of this market will grow from $2.3 billion in 2000 to $14.4 billion by 2004.
