Celebrity Cruises reintroduced its Web site, designed by US Interactive.
The upgraded site features more than 200 enhanced images and detailed
information about Celebrity’s Five-Star Fleet, cuisine and service in a user-
friendly format, the company said. Spending on the redesign was not disclosed.
“The site reflects our premium cruise brand,” said Karon Cullen, vice president of marketing at Celebrity Cruises. “The new technology makes it easy to
maneuver and browse for specific cruise and destination information. First-
time cruisers will certainly get a feeling for the special Celebrity vacation
experience.”
Visitors can view color photography of staterooms and public areas, deck plans
for all ships, itineraries, online prices, shore excursions for all ports-of-
call, special bon voyage gift-packages, news from Celebrity, investor
information, and locate a travel agent in their zip code. Viewers can even
take a cyber-cruise with full sound capabilities to one of Celebrity’s global
destinations by clicking on the “Quicktime Movie” selection.
The secured travel agent section is scheduled for availability in October. It is designed to provide agents
access to Celebrity’s automated sales and marketing products, such as
CruiseMatch 2000 OnLine, logos, interior and exterior ship photography,
reduced rates, and advertisements that can be downloaded.
Celebrity Cruises is operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., which also
operates Royal Caribbean International. The two brands’ combined fleet
consists of 17 vessels.
