E-commerce solutions provider Iconomy.com signed an agreement with
Internet banking services company Digital Insight to develop a global
store, which Digital Insight will offer as an additional part of its AXIS
e-commerce solution.
Digital Insight said its clients will now be able to offer their customers
online shopping as part of their Internet banking experience.
The store will contain more than 20 different product categories including
books, videos and software, as well as computers, consumer electronics, home
office products and
luggage and travel accessories. Targeted merchandise related to financial
planning, investing and banking also will be featured.
Financial arrangements
were not disclosed.
“Iconomy enables our clients to offer a robust shopping experience within a
client-branded Web site and create an opportunity to earn additional fee
income,” said Tej Mariyappa, director of e-commerce for Digital Insight.
Iconomy uses a library of pre-built e-commerce components and shopping cart
technology to deploy e-stores for clients. Iconomy also embeds targeted
context-appropriate promotions within site content.
Digital Insight provides Internet banking services to more than 730 financial
institutions.
Its AXIS architecture is an ASP system designed to communicate in either real
time or batch, based on the client institution’s core data processing system.
AXIS is template-based, enabling retail and commercial Internet banking in
multiple languages and across multiple access devices.
AXIS also includes
Internet Bill Payment and Cash Management, components, as well as AXIS
eCommerce, a financial web portal; AXIS Online Lending, a completely
automated lending solution; and AXIS Advanced Target Marketing.
