HomePortfolio.com, a destination site
for shoppers seeking home design products, signed a marketing alliance with
women’s network iVillage Inc.
The alliance brings HomePortfolio’s “customer convenience in home design” to
iVillage.com’s 7.3 million unique users each month, the companies said.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
Brian Kardon, vice president of business development at HomePortfolio, noted
the similar audience that HomePortfolio.com and iVillage.com share: busy,
intelligent women looking for an environment that offers them solutions.
“Through our alliance with iVillage, we are introducing millions of women to
the fastest and easiest way to find and buy premium products and services for
the home,” said Kardon.
“iVillage’s members expect the best from us in content, service, and
e-commerce, and we aim to be at the forefront of shopping on the Web,” said
Allison Abraham, iVillage.com’s chief operating officer.
A co-branded version of the HomePortfolio site will be developed within the
iVillage.com Network, and HomePortfolio will have positioning within
iVillage.com’s Shopping Channel.
HomePortfolio.com, launched in January 1998, recently completed a $20 million
second round of funding led by Oak Investment Partners.
