Loudeye Technologies Inc. Thursday launched a strategic partnership with ActiveSky in which it will become the domestic digital media services provider of encoding wireless video and animated content, playable through ActiveSky technology on mobile devices.

We feel ActiveSky technology and solutions are fundamentally designed to address these requirements and enable us to provide high value rich-media solutions for our customers.”
ActiveSky technology allows end users to experience animation and video on a variety of mobile-device platforms. The technology is specifically designed to enable rich media to be streamed and played on small handheld devices. Its small footprint, low MIPS requirement and display flexibility allows for extreme portability.
