Microsoft Corp. launched a new “NetShow Shop” e-commerce site for NetShow users powered by eWarehouse.

NetShow Shop is an online
store where users can purchase a variety of products that work with the
NetShow Streaming Media Services in a Windows NT Server environment.

Portland, OR-based eWarehouse will handle all transaction processing, fraud
screening and any other turnkey e-commerce services for the site. Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.

eWarehouse offers a turnkey e-commerce service for vendors of products that
are compatible with or complementary to the NetShow Services.

Said Gary Schare, lead product manager at Microsoft: “The eWarehouse
arrangement gives our customers a convenient place to find third-party
products that support
the NetShow Services, and provides these vendors with an additional promotion
and distribution vehicle.”

eWarehouse provides secure, real-time credit card transaction processing,
fraud screening, export control, real-time sales tax calculation and timely
report generation.

eWarehouse offers a complete set of commerce services to help merchants and
software publishers buy, sell and promote online, including front-end store
development, transaction processing, electronic and physical fulfillment, and
marketing enhancement services. The NetShow Shop offers products from more
than a dozen NetShow Services vendors, including Sonic Foundry, Veon and
Winnov.

The NetShow Services consist of component services and tools for delivering
audio, video, illustrated audio, animations and other multimedia types over
networks. Users play NetShow content with the new Microsoft Media Player, a
universal player.

Founded in 1996, eWarehouse is a wholly owned subsidiary of Montreal-based
Saturn Solutions Inc.
