ForRetail Inc. said it is enhancing its
service and tech solutions to become a vertical B2B Applications Service
Provider specifically designed to help fragmented sectors of the retail
industry such as giftware, home accents and home furnishings start doing
business online.
The company’s collaborative e-commerce solution offers customers their own
transactional Web site that works with existing supply chain channels using a
fixed-cost model.

ForRetail said its PowerUp solution delivers custom-branded, catalog-enabled
transaction Web sites and a dynamic industry network that provides vendors
and their sales agencies with the functionality they need to manage their
customers, products, orders and online sales in eight weeks.
The ForRetail industry-specific network also allows the vendor to showcase
its catalog on the ForRetail.com marketplace and any ForRetail hosted sales
agency sites that carry that vendor’s lines. The vendor has real-time control
of any updates to its site, and all changes will automatically be carried out
throughout the network, updating the marketplace information and any partner
sales agency site.
