Newmediary.com Inc. launched an eponymous Web site designed to be an
online marketplace dedicated to Internet-related business services from site
design, hosting and e-commerce providers to Web-savvy law firms, PR agencies
and consultants.
Newmediary.com said it will seek to provide the tools and market intelligence
required by buyers and vendors of Internet business services to enter
informed business partnerships.
The company said it will offer an RFP center and an extensive vendor
directory, as well as value-added content. The company’s RFP and vendor
directory also can be accessed on the Web sites of its strategic partners,
including IDG, Fast Company magazine, Intranets.com and CEOExpress.
Content partnerships with companies including Open Ratings and IDG enhance
the site with market intelligence, buyer and vendor ratings, customized
buyers’ guides, and
industry analyst reports.
“The New Economy is so dynamic and fragmented that corporate buyers literally
have no idea who the service providers are who can solve their problems,”
said founder Scott Cohen the company’s president and former Boston.com
pioneer. “It’s not a coincidence
that 85 percent of the deals off-line are done through personal references.
As a result, we’ve focused on building an efficient marketplace where buyers
can make informed decisions based on clients, references, portfolio samples
and useful comparison tools.”
Access to the Newmediary site and RFP service is free to buyers. Vendors also
have free access to the Newmediary.com site and a basic vendor profile.
Vendors must purchase one of Newmediary.com’s vendor directory packages in
order to respond to buyer-posted RFPs and add extensive information to their
company profiles.
