OnDisplay Launches E-Commerce Integration Suite

OnDisplay recently delivered CenterStage EC, a suite of integration solutions designed to automate catalog and Web supersite content management.

The company said the solutions, which
support all major commerce server platforms, eliminate “the difficulties of
aggregating information from various online sources and automatically keeping
it up-to-date.”

The new family of software products aggregates product and information content
from multiple Web sites into virtual tables. The aggregated content can then
be queried and transacted upon as if it resided in a unified data source.

The CenterStage EC suite is composed of two products:

  • CenterStage Ecat, which ensures that product information is always up-to-
date and available for e-commerce application catalogs. The product supports
loading, batch updates, dynamic updates and the ability to deploy virtual
catalogs, which directly leverage product information from supplier Web sites.
CenterStage ECat supports a variety of sources including Web-based
    applications, legacy reports, publishing
    documents, e-mail and EDI.

  • CenterStage Econtent, for Web portals, media and shopping sites, aggregates
product and information content from multiple Web sites directly into host
site applications. As long as merchants have Web sites, they can be seamlessly integrated into the
host site with no effort on their part.

OnDisplay uses flexible “parsing by example” PageAgent technology and a drag
and drop visual builder environment, allowing shopping categories and products
to be created rapidly without requiring the source sites to modify their
applications.

Both products are priced by application server and number of content source
sites and range from $20,000 to $250,000.

Initial users include OpenMarket, ELEKOM, RightWorks, TRADEex and Vignette.
