Rare Medium Inc., a subsidiary of Rare
Medium Group Inc., has opened a new e-commerce solution center, its ninth location in the U.S.
The center will
include a family
of services aimed at providing end-to-end e-commerce solutions for new venture
startups, consumer products enterprises, and brick-and-mortar retailers who
want to successfully compete on the Web.
The company said that the Microsoft commerce platform will be the
foundation for the center’s solutions. Rare Medium is a member of Microsoft’s
Commerce Partner Advisory Council.
“The opening of our Microsoft Platform E-commerce Solution Center in the
heart of this leading high-tech region is an important milestone for Rare
Medium,” said Suresh Mathews, president and chief operating officer of Rare
Medium Inc. “Orange County’s Tech Coast is a great source of both talent and
business for us and we have a great and growing partnership with Microsoft’s
Southern California team.”
The E-Commerce Solution Center will offer: e-commerce strategic assessment,
e-commerce venture funding , solutions design and development,
online media marketing, partner selection and management, hosting, payment
verification, asset development, fulfillment and customer service.
Rare Medium’s e-commerce clients include Macy’s and Epson. Rare Medium
develops Internet- and Web-based solutions primarily for large and
medium-sized corporations, including Microsoft, The New York Times, General
Mills, DirectWeb, Neiman Marcus, Pfizer, Hotel Reservation Network, and the
Federal Reserve Bank, among others.
