OneSeek.com announced a major redesign of
its online shopping site at roboshopper.com, one of the Web’s first
comparison shopping sites.

The redesign gives users an updated interface, includes new shopping
categories and allows Webmasters to customize a version for their own site.

The updated interface allows shoppers to browse the actual Web sites of
competing stores. With the input of one or more keywords (i.e. “Harry Potter”
(Book by Title) or “putters” (Golf Equipment)) and the click of the “Go Shop”
button, users are taken
directly to the search results pages of the main online stores of the
shopping category of their choice.

With each click of the “Next” button in
the stores section, the results of the search are displayed on the Web site
of the next store in that category.

Taking shoppers to the actual online stores lets consumers see the whole
selection of related items in each store, any specials that are running,
shipping terms and prices as well as any useful graphics or additional
information included for the products, the company said.

The new categories that have been added to RoboShopper include Golf
Equipment, Pet Supplies, Office Supplies and Toddlers/Kids.

The updated RoboShopper.com site allows any Webmaster to add the same
shopping system to their site with their own branding attached, allowing
sites to provide value-added shopping services to their visitors without the
cost of developing their own
system.
