Talk City said it has implemented
community solutions for healthshop.com, a natural health
products and wellness destination site, and SportsHabitat.com, an interactive
sports-related community and e-commerce site.

Talk City is providing the sites complete community platforms, including
moderated discussion boards, live auditorium chat events with celebrities, as
well as moderated 24-hour chat communities.

Financial arrangements were not
disclosed.

Talk City creates and manages online interactive communities that help
businesses develop and maintain relationships with customers and other
audiences.

“This holiday season, brand differentiation online will be at a premium,”
said Peter Friedman, CEO of Talk City. “Both healthshop.com and
SportsHabitat.com understand that building a chat community not only
increases a site’s ‘stickiness,’ but also establishes the foundation of
lasting relationships and brand-loyalty among fickle shoppers.”

Talk City currently maintains ongoing interactive environments for customers
that include Starbucks Corp., Hearst, the National Broadcasting Company Inc.
and Microsoft.

For consumers, Talk City operates a network of online communities that
includes 20 topical categories, over 50 themed communities, 50 co-branded
network participant communities and thousands of user-generated communities.
