Webwear Upgrades Design for 25 Online Sports Stores

College & Pro Webwear Inc. in
Sharpsville, Pa., an Internet retailer of team licensed merchandise, launched
its second generation online storefronts, designed to make ordering faster
and easier.

The upgraded site offers a new product line of authentic NFL, NHL and MLB
jerseys that customers can customize with any player name and number.

Founded two years ago, the privately held firm has already developed and
operates 25 co-branded or private-labeled online storefronts for sites such
as MSNBC, Fastball.com, The Big Ten
Conference, Broadcast.com, The
Sporting News Online and temporary, event-driven sites such as MSNBC’s
Super Bowl coverage. The new storefront features have been uploaded to all
College & Pro Webwear partner sites.

The new design includes a holiday gift section with products sorted by price
and real-time order status updates. Gift boxing with team licensed greeting
cards is being added soon.

“Our customers are displaced fans who don’t have nearby retail access to
merchandise for their favorite team. The co-branded storefronts we’ve built 7
have been very successful at reaching these customers,” said Scott Killian,
president and chief executive officer of College & Pro Webwear.

“They also create an immediate revenue stream for our strategic partners
without infringing on their banner advertising revenue.”

Pro Webwear.com maintains its own inventory and fulfills all customer orders
from a warehouse in Pennsylvania.

“The integration between the online storefront and the back-end systems that
process customer orders is the key to any successful online storefront,” said
co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Timothy Brule. “This is why we’ve
insisted on developing all of our own technology in-house rather than
limiting ourselves to a set of commercial applications.”
