DVDs, Razor scooters and digital cameras, as well as robotic dogs, Dragonball
Z, and MP3 players.
The results from Friday “…validate our strategy of offering consumers a wide
selection of brand name merchandise from thousands of trusted merchants, as
well as convenient features like Yahoo! Wallet that make online shopping
easy,” said Rob Solomon, director of production at Yahoo! Shopping.
Yahoo! also said that the average number of daily transactions in the first
three weeks of November 2000 increased 120 percent from November 1999.

measures Web surfing in eight product categories, surged an average of 27
percent the day after Thanksgiving, compared to the rest of the week.
Clothing and consumer electronics sites led the gainers.
In terms of traffic, Landsend.com skyrocketed 93 percent, followed by
Gap.com, which soared 86 percent, and Spiegel.com, up 85 percent.
Consumer electronics sites rose 46 percent, with CircuitCity.com jumping 126
percent in unique audience at home on Friday. Outpost.com rose 48 percent,
and 800.com increased 40 percent in traffic.
