Yes Virginia, There Really Is A Santa-Cam

Shoppers in the Big Apple are being offered a chance to have a digital photo
taken with Santa in a promotion from Yahoo! Shopping, Macy’s and EarthCam
that lets consumers send the pictures to friends and family over the Internet.

The promotion is called “Yahoo! Shopping on 34th Street,” featuring an
interactive showcase located in the 34th street windows of Macy’s Herald
Square, featuring Santa Claus, a custom-designed Internet kiosk and a
“Santa-cam.” The window also features approximately 300 handcrafted ornaments
created by noted ornament designer Christopher Radko.

Through Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, holiday shoppers at Macy’s
Herald Square can take a special online photo with Santa free of charge. They
can send the digital picture, along with their holiday wish list, to friends
and family — courtesy of Yahoo! Shopping and Yahoo! Photos, Yahoo!’s free
photo sharing community.

“By teaming with Macy’s and EarthCam, we provide a fun way for holiday
shoppers to capture and share their memories of Santa and New York City as
well as a unique way to tell friends and family exactly what they want this
year,” said Jennifer Dulski, brand manager for Yahoo! Shopping.
