HP is angling to expand its cloud-computing portfolio with the launch of a new suite of products and services geared for businesses looking to streamline their IT operations.

The additions to the portfolio include a service-based private cloud offering, which furnishes computing power from HP’s own data centers.

Included in that offering is a menu of customization options that allow clients to tailor their policies for service, performance, security and privacy.

“What we’re doing is bringing enterprise-class computing to the cloud. We look at it from a customer perspective that not one size fits all,” said HP Vice President Patrick Harr.

Datamation reports on HP’s latest efforts in the cloud-computing space.
