Building on an established partnership, Novell is expanding its Linux support for SAP.

The new version of Novell’s SUSE Enterprise Linux Server for SAP Applications, which is rooted in the company’s SLES 11 offering, now includes support for the breadth of SAP’s technology, covering both physical and virtual instances.

Additionally, the two companies have agreed to terms on a deal regarding the SAP StreamWork collaboration technology.

“Both deals represent an extension of the Novell/SAP joint collaboration to provide SAP customers an optimized and fully supported Linux platform for SAP applications,” Dorfman said.
