Opera 11 Debuts With New Tab Features

The major browser vendors are all at work upgrading and adding new features to their respective offerings, and Opera Software is no exception. Opera 11, which debuted this week, comes as the first stable release of the browser to include add-on extensions, and comes with a companion website that aims to help users find and rate the more than 200 extensions currently available.

Additionally, Opera 11 includes a new feature called tab stacking, which aims to provide users with a new way to view and organize their Web pages. The new release also includes a number of security features to give users a safer Web browsing experience. Datamation takes a look.


Opera Software is out with a new release of its namesake browser for Windows, Mac and Linux computers. Opera 11 includes new features aimed at improving usability, extensibility and security.

The new Opera 11 release comes as rival browser makers include Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox, continue to push forward the limits of browser technologies.
