Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.10 Goes Beta

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.10 provides users with a variety of updated capabilities, including a new version of MySQL, improved management tools and enhanced security.

RHEL 5 first debuted in 2007. RHEL 5.10 It’s is now in what Red Hat refers to as Production Phase 2 of its lifecycle.

“Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 entered the Production Phase 2 when we released Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9 on Jan. 8, 2013,”   Brian Gollaher, principal product manager for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, told ServerWatch. “The goal for any release in Production Phase 2 or 3 is to focus in keeping customer’s production environments as stable as possible.”
